Freehand Miami is a place where community is fostered, as we believe traveling is all about the friends you meet, the memories you make and the stories you come home with.
Our property is small and intimate. Think seaside boathouse; a summer camp near the ocean. Once the historic Art Deco Indian Creek Hotel, designers Roman & Williams have transformed the property into a hostel that features clean, comfortable rooms (both private and shared) and common spaces with bright, boaty colors that evoke a historic Miami and an endless summer. Cutting edge New York City fashion designers, Timo Weiland, created the uniforms we wear, while our walls are dressed with the work of some of our favorite local artists.
Head downstairs to the bar and you’ll find The Broken Shaker, led by the illustrious Bar Lab duo, Gabriel Orta and Elad Zvi. These guys are dedicated to the lost art of bespoke cocktails and will craft some of the best drinks in Miami for you. We’ve also teamed up with gastropod founder Chef Jeremiah to bring you eats fueled by our onsite herb garden.
We’re true locals, so you’re going to get the real scoop on what to do in Miami. We’ll share the beauty of this city with you – because it’s not all about nightclubs and Ocean Drive. No velvet ropes, no dress code.
Whether you want to explore the boardwalk with one of our custom beach cruisers, spend the afternoon playing ping-pong by the pool or walk a block to the beach for a kite surfing class, we’ll have it all lined up for you.
We’ve planned lots of Activities & Events and we’re cooking up more all the time, so whether you’re from out of town, or a local, keep checking in here for the latest.
See you soon!
