Weekend Roundup

Let’s do this!

Friday (9/13) // Art Class + The Drawing Room ft. Gustavo Oviedo:

Get your weekend started with a laid-back art class in the courtyard, led by our friend Molly Cecile. (RSVP)

Then, stick around for the third edition of The Drawing Room series. This month, our outdoor-garden-turned-art-gallery will showcase new works by Gustavo Oviedo (aka 131), a Miami-based artist inspired by the ocean and its wildlife. The show will feature a projection of his video piece “South Florida Marine Life,” a large-scale, collaborative painting and a sculpture, and the Broken Shaker will serve a new, fruit-laden cocktail inspired by Gustavo’s passion for the tropics. (RSVP)

Saturday (9/14) // Floatopia:

What is Floatopia? This pretty much sums it up. (Directions)

Sunday (9/15) // Brunch at Eating House:

Get your Sunday-morning (or afternoon) comfort food from the hands of chef Giorgio Rapicavoli (voted Miami’s hottest chef on Eater.com). We dig his Coral Gables restaurant’s graffiti-covered walls and hanging lightbulbs, and though the menu changes weekly, you can always count on fresh, seasonal specialties and unexpected combinations of Rapicavoli’s Italian, Asian, and Cuban culinary influences. Just don’t miss out on the Tang Mimosas.
