Weekend Roundup

Rain or shine, let’s have a good time!

Friday (5/31) // Friday Night at Gramps ft. JUke:

Kick start the weekend by catching a show at one of Miami’s best hangouts, Gramps. Power blues-band JUke will be headlining the night, bringing with them their unique style of upbeat, angsty music-makin’ that will knock you on your ass (in a good way). The show kicks off promptly at 10pm, but stop by before to cash in on their happy hour from 6-9pm. Throw back some $2 beers for us! (directions)

Saturday (6/1) // Saturday Morning Beach Yoga + Shit Robot at Bardot:

AM: Our new summer yoga classes—led by our favorite free-spirited yogi Johanna—begins tomorrow at 10:30am. Sign up at our front desk today, then meet us in the courtyard tomorrow at 10:15am with a bottle of water, a towel, and positive energy.

PM: Tomorrow night, head over to the Wynwood neighborhood of Miami to catch Shit Robot’s groovy, disco-esque beats at Bardot. The Dublin-based musician has been signed to DFA Records since 2006 and is a pro at fueling dance floors with his electrifying rhythms and hypnotizing vocals. Show starts at 10pm! (tickets)

Sunday (6/2) // La Sandwicherie:

La Sandwicherie, home to possibly the best sandwiches in America, is a South Beach staple and our go-to for delicious replenishment after a productive weekend. The best part: it’s budget-friendly. We say order up their Saucisson Sec and have lunch on the beach.

P.S. Check out our Cheap Eats Foursquare list for other budget-friendly spots in Miami Beach.
