Thursday (7/4) // Fourth of July Sunset BBQ:
Exercise your freedom to celebrate by joining us for a good old-fashioned backyard BBQ. The menu: all-American classics like burgers/veggie burgers, sausages and coleslaw (full menu), plus Broken Shaker’s refreshingly ice-cold Freedom Coolers (gin, watermelon, garden-grown herbs and Florida citrus). To top it off, cool folks, ping pong, bocce, board games, and plenty of good vibes. (RSVP)
Friday (7/5) // Of Montreal at Grand Central:
Grab a super-cheap, last minute ticket to see the phenomenal, shapeshifting Athens, Georgia band, Of Montreal. Their sound runs the gamut from lo-fi pop to lush, classically inspired compositions, and no matter the style, they always deliver a spectacularly theatrical live show. To top it off, our friend Lauren Reskin, founder of Sweat Records, recommended Grand Central in her recent piece for the Guardian; Top 10 live music venues in Florida.
Saturday (7/6) // Music Fashion Skate Cause:
Head to Wynwood on Saturday for Music Fashion Skate Cause, an all-out block party that shuts down the neighborhood and celebrates Miami’s burgeoning artistic movement. Expect everything from live mural paintings to skateboarding, plus great music and an extensive lineup of local food trucks. Tickets at the gate are $15, and the party starts at 3pm.
Sunday (7/7) // Indian Creek Drive Inn – Caddyshack
Wind down after a busy holiday weekend with a screening of Caddyshack at the Indian Creek Drive Inn (aka our backyard). Before the flick, be sure to get your hands on one of Broken Shaker’s Cinderella Story cocktails—an ice cold concoction brimming with gin, Velvet Falernum, pineapple, homemade bitter and garden-grown herbs—and a bag of their deliciously seasoned popcorn. We’ll see you on the back patio, 8pm! (RSVP)
